Turbomachinery advisory, from the first specification to RFSU.

Independent senior advice for owners, EPC contractors and project teams on gas turbine, steam turbine and compressor packages, from front-end definition through installation, commissioning, RFSU and turnover.

What it is

Turbomachinery advisory is senior technical support for the decisions that shape a machinery package: what to specify, how to install and commission it, and whether the project is ready for each milestone.

We work alongside the client's team. We do not replace the OEM or the installation contractor; we help the owner or EPC contractor make sound decisions and hold each party to the agreed plan.

Who it is for

  • Owners and developers whose team is new to large rotating equipment, or stretched across several packages.
  • EPC contractors who need an independent view of scope, interfaces and execution documents before mobilization.
  • Project teams approaching a milestone, such as setting, grouting, first fire or RFSU, who want a second check.

What problems it solves

  • Scope gaps and unclear interfaces between OEM, EPC contractor and owner.
  • Installation and commissioning plans that do not match the schedule, the site or the vendor's requirements.
  • Late discovery of missing procedures, method statements, ITPs or qualified resources.
  • Milestone dates that rest on assumptions nobody has checked.

What we offer

Front-end definition

Package scope, interfaces, specifications and constructability, settled before the machines are ordered.

Execution readiness review

A structured check, ahead of a milestone, of documents, resources, tools, materials and site conditions. Read what a readiness review covers.

Installation and commissioning strategy

Installation sequence, alignment philosophy, preservation requirements, commissioning sequence and turnover logic, written so the field team can follow it.

Cold-eye reviews

An independent review of execution strategy, plans, hold points and package interfaces, before or during execution.

How it works

  1. Introductory call. A 30-minute conversation about the project status and what you need.
  2. Scope and proposal. We agree the scope, the documents to review and the deliverables.
  3. Review and engagement. A senior consultant works with your team, remotely or on site.
  4. Findings and actions. Clear findings, ranked by risk, with practical recommended actions.

The same solution applies across the four industries we serve: data centers, power generation, LNG, and gas compression and process.

Common questions

When should we bring in a turbomachinery advisor?

The earlier the better: front-end definition is where scope, interfaces and specifications are cheapest to change. Advisory support is also valuable ahead of any major milestone, such as setting, grouting, first fire or RFSU.

Do you work for owners or for EPC contractors?

Both. We work for owners, developers and EPC contractors. On any one project we work for one party, and our advice serves that client's project only.

Can you support us remotely?

Yes. Document reviews, strategy work and many readiness checks can be done remotely. Site visits are arranged when the scope needs them.
